New Story
I recently started a different story called The Amish Girl and the Reporter and it's about a girl living in an Amish community in Lancaster PA and a reporter who is doing a segment on the Amish life. The reporter, Alesha spends 1 month in the home of the Amish girl, Sadie. Sadie becomes attched to Alesha's stories of freedom and independence. When Rumspringa comes around (when children turn 16 they can explore the world) Sadie decides to live with Alesha and see the real world. Will Sadie stay away from the Amish community forever or will she return?

Chapter 29
KEIRSTEN KING:
"A friend shares the good times and helps out by listening during the bad times." Keirsten left the hospital feeling exhusted and tired.
"Are we going back to Clay or are we staying here over night?" Keirsten asked her mom.
"I think we should stay here until tomorrow and then later tomorrow we'll drive back to Clay," Krystianna replied and strapped Jasmine into the car seat.
"I don't have any clothes though," Keirsten replied and closed the passengers car door.
"I packed extra clothes for all of us because Michele said we might be staying over," Krystianna explained and pulled out of the hospital parking lot.
"Where are we going to stay?" Keirsten asked her mother. Krystianna leaned over the steering wheel squinting to read the sign ahead.
"Does that say Hilton Hotel or Hitton's Motel?" Krystianna asked.
"I think it says Hitton's Motel. Are we going to stay there?" Keirsten replied.
"Let's go a little further and see," Krystianna suggested and sped past Hitton's Motel. It had seperate small cabins with peeling paint and a sign that read "The new: HITTON'S MOTEL. Includes color TV, and membership to our pool." Keirsten couldn't help but laugh at the sign and the cabins.
"Yeah, I don't think we'll be staying there. I'm pretty sure it's a health hazard!" Krystianna joked and pulled up to the Lilac Bed & Breakfast.
"This is much better!" Keirsten replied and jumped out of the car.
"Take out Jasmine and grab the backpack in the trunk. I'm going to reserve a room," Krystianna informed Keirsten and walked into the building.
Keirsten pciked up Jasmine and grabbed the backpack. Krystianna was waiting inside with a key to one of the rooms.
"This is our room," Krystianna said and slipped the key into the door and pushed it open. A twin bed was in the center of the room and bunk bed was in the corner next to the window. There was a small table on the opposite end of the room with a dresser Keirsten put the backpack on the twin bed and put Jasmine on the floor.
"Hungry?" Krystianna asked.
"Food! Food!" Jasmine cheered and hugged her mom's legs. Krystianna smiled and took out the car keys and her purse.

Chapter 28
NICOLETTA GIARDO:
"Memories last forever, never do they die. Friends stay together, never say goodbye." Nicoletta's heart was still racing. She quickly jumped in Aiden's car with her sisters, Eryn and Alexis and Sophie. Her mother, Eva was in the ambulance alone. Nicoletta had asked Sophie to come with her and she willingly agreed.
"So, what hospital are they taking her to?" Nicoletta asked Aiden. Aiden took a deep breath and gripped the steering wheel. He was mad at Julene for re-introducing alcohol to their mother; he didn't want Nicoletta, Eryn, and Alexis to see what he had to go through when he and Julene were young.
"The hospital in eastern Syracuse," Aiden explained. Eryn was seated in the passengers seat while Alexis, Nicoletta, and Sophie sat in the back seat.
"Sophie, I'm really sorry about how I ignored you and was really mean to you. I just feel like we are supposed to be friends, you know?" Nicoletta asked and looked at her. Sophie knew how she felt but she still felt like it was too hard to forgive and forget.
"Yeah, I know. But we are really opposite though," Sophie explained.
"I know, but thank you so much I really need a friend right now," Nicoletta replied.
"What happend to mommy?" Alexis asked. She was eight and confused why her step-mother was in a ambulance.
"Mom wasn't felling very well so she's going to the doctor's," Nicoletta explained to her little sister. Sophie saw how sweet Nicoletta was with her little siblings and she wondered why she seemed like a rebel in school.
"Where's Julene?" Eryn, Nicoletta's ten year old sister asked.
"Her and mom had a little disagreement and Julene went to Josh's house," Aiden explained and looked Nicoletta hoping the two little girls wouldn't ask anymore questions.
"Are we almost there yet?" Alexis asked and giggled. Nicoletta looked at Aiden and rolled her eyes.
"Be ready to be annoyed," Nicoletta whispered to Sophie. Sophie smiled, she had a thirteen year old brother who also annoyed the heck out of her, she was prepared!

Chapter 27
SOPHIE VOLTEN:
"One of the greatest things about being a teenager is the sharing, the closeness and the great times you have with your friends." Sophie was aboslutely shocked that Nicoletta had called her. She was still locked in her room with a cloud of utter disbelief still hanging over her head. Nicoletta was supposed to be her enemy. They had hated each other for almost a year and now Nicoletta decided that it was suddenly time to become friends again? And all this after a day of intense hatred?
Sophie layed back on her queen sized bed and looked up at the white ceiling. A little lavender painted smiley face was still in the corner of her room. She remembered that day; Nicoletta, Sophie and one of their other close friends had decided to paint Sophie's room. When they couldn't decide on a color Nicoletta dipped her fingers in the lavender paint and stood on the step-ladder and drew the smiley face in the corner. Sophie remembered how easily they could've removed it, but now the smiley face that Nicoletta had painted two years earlier hung over her bedroom as a reminder of their cherished friendship.
While Sophie was looking at the smiley face her cell phone started to ring again. Nicoletta's number appeared and Sophie lazily picked it up.
"Hey," Sophie said into the reciever. She could hear sirens in the background. Sophie sat up straight and pressed the phone closer to her ear.
"Sophie, please come!" Nicoletta begged and hung up. Sophie could tell that Nicoletta needed her badly, so like a true friend she put her phone in her pocket and walked downstairs. Her mother was in the basement sorting through some of Sophie's old clothing.
"Mom, can you drive me to Nicoletta's?" Sophie asked looking at the stacks of clothing before her mother.
"Sure," her mom replied and quickly walked away from the tower of clothing.
"What's the matter, honey?" her mother asked while starting the BMW.
"I'm not one hundred percent sure but I think it has something to do with Nicoletta's mother," Sophie explained while fastening her seatbelt. Janelle opened the front gate with a push of a button and quickly drove Sophie to Nicoletta's house in Lake Triton. When they arrived an ambulance and two police cars were still parked outside the Giardo's home.
"Sophie," Nicoletta called from the driveway and walked toward her.
"What's going on?" Sophie asked as she approached Nicoletta.
"It's my mom, she passed out from all the alcohol," Nicoletta explained and hugged Sophie. Sophie hugged her back and thought; Nicoletta might come off strong but really she's only putting up walls to see who cares enough to break them down.

Chapter 26
CHEYENNE LENSKY:
"Don't pity the girl with one true friend. Envy her. Pity the girl with just a thousand aquaintances." Cheyenne was bored; she had finished her homework early and she had nothing to do; it was only four o'clock!
Cheyenne decided to call her old best friend from Napa. Delfina Edsall picked up her phone but when she saw it was Cheyenne Lensky calling her she quickly put down the phone. She wasn't exactly angry at Cheyenne for moving away, she was mad that Cheyenne was her only real freind and now she had none at school. She wanted to talk to her and see how her first day of school went, but she didn't want to hear good news.
"Hey, this is Delfina's phone. Sorry I can't get to the phone right now, but leave a message and I'll get back to you ASAP," Delfina's voice rang out.
"Del, it's Cheyenne. I know you're ignoring my calls but I just wanted to say that I'm sorry about all this. I made some friends but nothing will ever replace our friendship, I just wanted to let you know that. Okay, Del. I have to go, bye!" Cheyenne said and hung up. Delfina had been her best friend from birth. Delfina's mother and Cheyenne's father had been neighbors when they were kids, and when Cheyenne's mother was pregnant with Cheyenne they met again at some pregnancy clothing store. From that moment on Cheyenne's parents became good friends and Delfina became Cheyenne's best friend. One thing Cheyenne knew about her best friend was that she held grudges, that was probably the reason why she didn't have any friends when Cheyenne moved.
"Kailey?" Cheyenne called while opening her sister's door. Kailey was laying on her bed with her iPod touch in her hands.
"What Cheyenne?" she asked and paused her game. Cheyenne walked in and sat on the edge of the un-made bed.
"I was wondering if you wanted to go to the pool with me," Cheyenne said.
"Sure, let me get changed and I'll meet you downstairs. Ask Sierra if she wants to come," Kailey said and walked over to her closet to get her bathing suit.
Cheyenne knocked on Sierra's door and waited for a reply.
"Sierra!" Cheyenne called again knocking on the wood door.
Cheyenne opened the door and felt a breeze. The window was open and Sierra was nowhere to be seen.

Chapter 25
KEIRSTEN KING:
"Surround yourself only with people who are going to lift you higher." Keirsten sat in the comfortable recliner chair for what seemed like an eternity. Jasmine was still bouncing-off-the-walls energetic and Keirsten's mother and step-mother were busy talking about weather Keirsten was going to her father's house for Christmas or not.
"Michele Roberts?" a nurse by the name of Darcelle asked. She was a young African-American woman with caramel eyes. Keirsten jumped up from her chair and followed Michele to her father's room. Krystianna waited in the waiting room with Jasmine while Keirsten went with Michele to see her father. Darcelle led them down three doors and stood aside for them to enter the hospital room. The room smelled like rubbing alcohol and only a night-light shone, but the blaring white walls seemed to glow in the dark.
"Matt?" Michele whispered into the room. Keirsten heard a faint grunt.
"Hi," he managed to reply. Matthew was happy that Keirsten made it to see him, and he didn't want to seem lethargic when his daughter drove almost five hours to see him; but he was tired from the extensive day.
"How are you darling?" Michele asked and leaned down beside him. Keirsten stood awkardly at the door. She didn't know if she should enter or not, Michele seemed on the verge of tears and if she burst into sobs Keirsten didn't know if she would be able to keep her composure.
"I feel alright," he mumbled and looked at Keirsten.
"Keirsten, come here," Michele ordered and moved over to the side. Keirsten walked into the room and knelt down next to the hospital bed. Her father's usually tan face was white and his eyes were watery.
"Dad, I'm so sorry this happened," Keirsten cried. She didn't know what to say; it was so sudden and unbelievable.
"I'm fine sweetie. How was high school?" he whispered, falling asleep. The anesthia was almost worn off and he started to feel even more drowsy.
"It was good. I made a lot of new friends," she replied with a soft voice. She watched as his eyelids closed over his eyes and as his body rose up and down with deep breaths.
"He's exhusted," Michele stated and stood beside her husband. Keirsten remembered when her dad had gotten knee surgery when she was four. Her mother had been the worried one, standing over his bed making sure he was comfortable. That job seemed to be passed onto his new wife, but Keirsten knew that Krystianna was fine with this because her mother had moved on too.
